Which size should I choose?

4" canister: compact spaces, powersports, tight bays.
6" or 8" canister: most cars, trucks, boats — choose 8" when space allows for maximum charcoal capacity; 6" when space is limited.
High Performance (with -8AN end-caps): for higher-output builds or when you already run larger vent lines.

Porting: Universal series uses -6 AN O-ring Boss (ORB) ports. Convert directly to AN using -6 ORB → AN adapters—no hose barbs needed.

Plumbing guide (sending unit vents)

Vent ports on many sending units vary by application and are commonly 1/4" or 5/16" hardline tube. Use our Hard Line to AN adapters to convert the vent to AN. For most builds, -6 AN hose and fittings are ideal from the sending unit to the Vapor Trapper™ and to your safe vent location.

Recommended safety add-on: Rollover Valve

Pair the Vapor Trapper™ with our rollover valve to help reduce fuel spillage if the vehicle is inverted. This is a bulkhead-style, through-tank valve: drill the specified hole in a flat spot on the top of the tank, the valve body installs inside the tank, and two PTFE sealing washers sandwich the tank wall. On the outside of the tank you’ll see the male AN fitting ready to connect your vent line.

• Internal check ball drops into place if the car flips, closing the vent path.
• -6 AN male valve pairs with Universal Vapor Trapper (use -6 AN hose).
• -8 AN male valve pairs with High Performance Vapor Trapper (use -8 AN hose).
• Install on the top of the tank, oriented vertically; verify internal clearance from the float/sender and baffling.

• (2) 2-1/2" mounting clamps (mount the canister above the fuel tank; keep the inlet high).
• -6 ORB → AN adapters at the canister ports: shop AN adapters.
• Hardline-to-AN adapter at the sending unit (commonly 1/4" or 5/16" tube): shop hardline to AN.
• Bulkhead rollover valve (choose -6 for Universal, -8 for High Performance; -10 option available on the product page).
• Vent plumbing using AN hose & reusable AN fittings (most builds use -6; High Performance uses -8): PTFE hose & fittings bundles.
• Tools to assemble PTFE hose cleanly: Install tool bundle.
• Optional: mounting hardware & line clamps: clamps & mounting.
