- Wrap the cut area tightly with tape (mandatory) to control braid fray and support the liner.
- Align your mark with the shear’s cutting edge and cut square with a single smooth stroke.
- Remove the tape, then flare the braid slightly and seat the ferrule/olive on the PTFE liner only.
- Clamp the fitting body in aluminum vice jaws and tighten with an aluminum AN wrench.
